Battery law notices
In connection with the sale of batteries and rechargeable batteries and devices containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we would like to draw your attention to the following in accordance with Section 18 of the Battery Act (BattG):
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. After use, you can either return them to your municipal collection points, to retailers or directly to us (see imprint for address) for free disposal.
Waste batteries may contain pollutants or heavy metals that can harm the environment and health. Batteries can be recycled because they contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel.
Batteries and accumulators that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical name of the harmful substance.
Cd stands for cadmium, Hg for mercury and Pb for lead.
